Regime ready for Curragh contest
Regime will bid to enhance his Curragh record when lining up in Saturday’s Keeneland International Stakes.
The four-year-old has run at the track twice before, finishing second in the inaugural Goffs Million before winning the Mooresbridge Stakes earlier this season.
Regime has since finished a narrow fourth in the Brigadier Gerard Stakes before failing to shine on unsuitably quick ground in the Prince Of Wales’s at Royal Ascot.
With the going at the Curragh currently on the easy side, connections are hoping the Michael Bell-trained colt can bounce back to his best.
“The plan is very much to run and he’s in very good form, ” said Harry Herbert, racing manager for owners Highclere Thoroughbred Racing.
“He’s taking his racing so well this year and he loves the track and will love the ground as well. He was looked after at Ascot as the ground was totally unsuitable but Michael has freshened him up since then and he is ready to go.”
