Trainer Mark Wallace revealed last season’s Prix de l’Abbaye winner has been treated for a foot problem that has so far hampered his progress this year.

“He’s grand and he runs again on Sunday,” said the Newmarket-based handler.

“He’s had a bit of a foot problem this year but we’ve got that sorted out now. He should be fine for Sunday.”

Wallace admitted the trouble reared up again following his run in the King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot, where he was seventh behind Equiano.

“He came back from Ascot with his foot a bit sore again. He wasn’t quite 100% on that firm ground but the vets have done something about it,” Wallace added.
