Six more fixtures have been transferred from Great Leighs before the racecourse is finally set to open its doors.

Six more fixtures have been transferred from Great Leighs before the racecourse is finally set to open its doors.

The course, on a 430-acre site north of Chelmsford, Essex, should originally have been launched in October 2006 but a serious of hold-ups have dogged the track.

However, it appears that all problems are behind them with their first meeting now scheduled for April 20, just two days after the last of the latest switched fixtures.

The six transferred meetings are: April 4, Lingfield; April 10, Kempton (evening); April 12, Wolverhampton (evening); April 13, Brighton; April 17, Kempton (evening); April 18, Yarmouth.
