Wincanton optimistic

This afternoon’s meeting at Wincanton is subject to a further inspection at 9.30am.

An initial check at 7am proved inconclusive forcing clerk of the course Rebecca Morgan to take another look.

“We had a precautionary inspection at 7am and we will take a further look at 9.30am,” said Morgan.

“On the forecast and what we have seen we are optimistic of racing but there are a couple of areas that are unraceable at present, therefore it is only wise to have a look.

“It is minus two and a half here at the moment but at 9am it will start rising and we are due unbroken sunshine.”
