This afternoon’s meeting at Warwick is on after the track passed an inspection.

Officials at the course were concerned after heavy rainfall on Friday, but a dry night has seen racing get the go-ahead.

Clerk of the course Fiona Needham said: “We had 30 millimetres of rain yesterday but it stopped raining at about 11pm last night.

“The track has taken it remarkably well and the forecast for today is dry, so we go ahead.”

The going at the track is described as heavy.
