Sizing Europe proved his well-being on the gallops at Henry De Bromhead’s yard this morning.

The Greatwood Hurdle winner missed an intended engagement in the December Festival Hurdle after scoping badly but is now reportedly back in top shape.

“He worked well this morning and I’ve been absolutely delighted with him,” said De Bromhead.

“All roads now lead to the AIG and with regards to the spring it might be a blessing in disguise.

“Someone said to me the other day that it is a long way to May and that is so true, it may have been a way of telling me to back off with him.

“We’ll give him a spin in the AIG and hopefully he will do enough there to warrant a place in the field at Cheltenham.”

Sizing Europe is as low as 7-1 with totesport for the Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle in March.
