Punchestown card rejigged

Punchestown’s meeting on Saturday has been given the all-clear – but the two chase events on the card have been abandoned.

Heavy rain put the weekend fixture in jeopardy but track officials found a viable solution after holding a morning inspection.

Racing will now be restricted to the inside hurdle track, with the INH Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle divided.

The action still begins at 1.05pm but the six-race meeting will now finish 30 minutes earlier than scheduled at 3.35pm.
