Butler poised for action
Butler’s Cabin is likely to begin the build-up to the John Smith’s Grand National by making his seasonal debut this month.
Connections have several options in mind for the eight-year-old, who is generally second-favourite at around 16-1 for the Aintree marathon on April 5.
“He’ll be out in the next fortnight somewhere,” said Frank Berry, racing manager to owner J P McManus.
“He’s in at Leicester next week and at a few other places as well.”
His whole campaign has been geared around a spring campaign, notably the Grand National, and he could have a couple of runs before then.
“Jonjo’s happy with him and he’s in good form,” added Berry.
Butler’s Cabin was last seen following up his National Hunt Chase success at the Cheltenham Festival with victory in the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse in April.
