Musselburgh morning inspection
Musselburgh must pass a 6.30am precautionary inspection before Sunday’s meeting can be given the all-clear.
Although the Scottish course was boosted by a frost-free morning, overnight temperatures are forecast to dip between minus-two and minus-three degrees.
Clerk of the course Anthea Morshead said: “We are raceable at present but the temperature is due to drop overnight, with it rising to around plus-two degrees during Sunday morning.
“The day-time temperature will be quite critical.
“There’s also the risk of early fog, which might also hold the temperature down, so we will just have to see in the morning.”
