Nicholls ace just Magic

Twist Magic (5-1) ran out an impressive winner of the paddypower.com Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown.

Continuing the unbelievable run of Paul Nicholls and deputy jockey Sam Thomas, the five-year-old oozed class throughout the race.

Champion Chase hero Voy Por Ustedes attempted to give chase but had no answer to the youngster’s speed in the final quarter of a mile and was three lengths adrift at the line.

Monet’s Garden stayed on for third ahead of Hoo La Baloo.

Twist Magic’s triumph added to Nicholls and Thomas’ recent hot streak – which has incorporated victories in the Betfair Chase with Kauto Star and the Hennessy with Denman.

The winner was cut to 5-2 from 4-1 for the Queen Mother Champion Chase by VC Bet, with Voy Por Ustedes unchanged at 3-1.
