Wrath looks good for Cecil

Henry Cecil is facing an important few weeks with the likes of Multidimensional and Passage Of Time leading an assault on some big prizes, but Wraith can score at a lower level for the yard tomorrow.

The three-year-old lines up in Nottingham’s WBX.COM Free Football Shirt For New Account Maiden Stakes and should take some beating on the book.

Cecil has taken his time with Wraith, limiting the Maria’s Mon colt to just one start as a juvenile before taking the wraps off again at Pontefract last month.

Wraith put up a satisfactory performance in finishing a close-up fourth behind Bold Glance, showing his inexperience as he took some time to hit top gear.

He certainly looks capable of winning a race or two and would not have to be a world beater to lift this 10-furlong contest.

Eve Johnson Houghton enjoyed a landmark victory in her short training career when sending out Judd Street to win a Listed race last week and stablemate Robustian is taken to go well in the WBX.COM 0% Commission On Day’s Big Handicap.

Beaten by a couple of progressive three-year-olds at Pontefract last time, Robustian should fare better against some more exposed rivals.

Levitski goes in search of a four-timer in the Jewson Novices’ Hurdle at Towcester and the prize looks well within his grasp.

The six-year-old took a while to master the art of hurdling but has been in irresistible form since getting his act together.

After kicking off his sequence at Sedgefield last month, Levitski has been ideally placed by Jonjo O’Neill and gained further success at Uttoxeter and Fontwell.

Although he has subsequently taken a bit of a hike in the handicap, he shrugged off a double penalty last time and could still have a little in the locker.

O’Neill can make it a double as Albertas Run makes his fencing bow in the Dalepak Beginners’ Chase.

Winner of four of his five starts over hurdles, Albertas Run enjoyed Listed and Grade Three success last term which puts him head and shoulders above his rivals here.

The six-year-old always appealed as a promising chasing prospect and he is fancied to get one on the board.

Santando found one too good at Lingfield last time but can make amends in Exeter’s Dean & Dyball Challenge Trophy Beginners’ Chase.

Peter Bowen’s runner was just tapped for toe by Joe Lively but comes here fit and ready to do himself justice.

Kempton race under the floodlights once again and Sister Act can make the most of another dip in class in the Summer Never Ends At Kempton Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

This Marju filly has failed to match the exploits of her illustrious sibling Soviet Song but James Fanshawe may well have been found a race she is capable of winning at the sixth attempt.
