EFI sec. gen. to stand down in October
Equestrian Federation of Ireland (EFI) Secretary General Dan Butler has announced he will be leaving the organisation at the end of October to pursue other business interests.
Butler, who came from industry in 2003 to take up the position of Secretary General, and has been the public face of the Federation since that time, has participated in many changes in the
administration of the sport.
Today he said: "I will be sad to leave, but I am happy that I was able to play such an active role in moving the organisation forward to its present position within the development of the Horse Sport
Ireland project."
EFI President Charles Powell added: "Dan has played a significant role in Irish equestrianism during his term with the Federation, and we wish him well for the future."
