Bolger tickled pink with Colours success
Many Colours secured a hard-fought success in the Dance Design Stakes for Jim Bolger and Kevin Manning.
Owned by Sheikh Mohammed, the Green Desert filly came with a strong run to lead just inside the distance.
While a number of runners still held chances at this stage of the nine-furlong Listed contest, Manning was not to be denied aboard the 8-1 winner, who responded for pressure to deny Magic Carpet (7-1) by a head.
The runner-up was trained by David Wachman, along with the fast-finishing Navajo Moon, who had to settle for third at 14-1.
Bolger said of the winner: “She’s going the right way and we thought if we could get some black type we’d be doing well. There could be more improvement there.”
