EFI confirms that Kurten’s horse tested positive

The Equestrian Federation of Ireland has issued a statement confirming that Jessica Kurten's horse - Castle Forbes Maike - tested positive for a prohibited substance on an A Sample.

The positive sample was taken in May at La Baule, France.

When the news broke last week, the world number four said she had not given the mare anything.

If the B sample is also positive, the case is likely to go to a tribunal.
