Franny Norton is enjoying a good run and struck again on the Mick Channon-trained Tadalavil in the Ark De Triumph Maiden Auction Stakes at Ripon.

River Gleam took the field along and although the bit appeared to slip through her mouth, Richard Mullen did well to keep him up to her work – especially as she tended to hang right.

Mullen shook off all but Tadalavil, who collared the filly at the furlong marker and went away to win by a length and three-quarters.

Channon’s representative, Dave Bourton, said of the 11-4 favourite: “He is a nice horse and is improving.

“We have nearly 20 runners today so it is a good way to start.”
