Undone in the tactical struggle of last Saturday’s Coral-Eclipse, the trainer reports his colt to be moving well and he will be monitored closely to see if he is ready for Ascot on July 28.

“He has come out of the race bouncing and he’s cantering again,” said Chapple-Hyam.

Asked about the King George, he added: “We’ll see. I won’t make a decision until next week.

“The horse seems in really good form and he’ll tell us if he’s ready.”
