Apt To Run picked up a valuable prize for fledgling trainer Michael Murphy with victory in the 27,000 euro Roadbridge Summer Hurdle at Limerick this evening.

Niall ’Slippers’ Madden sent him to the front with two to jump as British raider Katies Tutor gave way and a superb leap at the final flight sealed matters.

Piltown gave chase but the 13-2 chance, who idled in front after the last, had a length to spare at the line.
