Camillo considered for French Guineas

Sander Camillo could run in the French 2000 Guineas at Longchamp on Sunday.

Jeremy Noseda’s filly was a late withdrawal from Sunday’s 1000 Guineas at Newmarket as she was found to be in season leading up to the Classic.

Connections are now considering the possibility of a crack at the French version at the weekend.

“It is a possibility that she could run in the French Guineas,” owner Robert Ogden’s racing manager, Barry Simpson, told the Racing Post.

“If she doesn’t run in that, she has the option of the Irish 1000 Guineas before the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.”

Noseda could be double-handed in the race as Rahiyah is also entered.
