Septimus back in action
Septimus faces six rivals on his first start since last year’s Vodafone Derby at the Curragh tomorrow.
Aidan O’Brien has declared the four-year-old for the High Chaparral EBF Mooresbridge Stakes over 10 furlongs.
Septimus, a son of Sadler’s Wells, was a hugely impressive winner of the Dante Stakes last year before going on to finish 12th behind Sir Percy at Epsom.
O’Brien’s charge will again clash with Mick Channon’s Championship Point, who finished a place ahead of him at Epsom, while other interesting contenders include Kevin Prendergast’s Mustameet and the David Wachman-trained Fracas.
Grand Passion, trained in Newmarket by Geoff Wragg, is a second British raider in the Group Three contest.
