The Army's Capt. Shane Carey claimed victory on Cashla Bay in the Small Grand Prix in Maubeuge, France today.

Carey beat France's Maximilien Lemercier into second place by just less than a quarter of a

second.

Cork's Billy Twomey, who has so far racked up two wins at the three-star French venue, placed 10th in the same class today with a single pole down on Anastasia III.
