Pietro Romeo collected the first win of his career by partnering 50-1 shot Exponential in the folkestone-racecourse.co.uk Apprentice Handicap.

Always just off the pace set by Misaro, the 24-year-old Italian, who was born in Milton Keynes, collared his rival to score by a head close home from Danish Blues, with the long-time leader third.
