Alainn ruled out of Fairyhouse test

Cailin Alainn will miss this afternoon’s Powers Gold Cup at Fairyhouse with a bruised foot.

Charles Byrnes’ mare has fallen on her last two starts – both at Cheltenham - and it had been hoped she could get her season back on track.

Previously she had rattled up a six-timer, including two wins at the highest level.
