Expensive strikes for Wall
Expensive returned fresh from a trip to Dubai to power home under Eddie Ahern and land the Listed intercasino.co.uk Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes at Kempton.
The daughter of Royal Applause was backed in from 5-1 to 7-2 and she travelled sweetly up with the pace before being sent on over two furlongs out.
Chris Wall’s charge then bounded clear and came home a ready four-length winner from Don’t Dili Dali.
Wall said: “She ran with credit in Dubai and picked up plenty of prize money. She has come here and won in style and in a good time.
“There is nothing left for her on the all-weather now but there is a seven-furlong Listed race at Lingfield on their Trials day next month and we will think about that.
“We will see what the handicapper does too, but the Victoria Cup could be an option, although she does need fast ground on turf.”
