Charlie Cool looks to hold outstanding claims of presenting Haggas with a big-race double in the intercasino.co.uk Magnolia Stakes.

The four-year-old has been kept busy in Dubai all winter so should be fit and ready for action in this 10-furlong affair.

Although the Nad Al Sheba form is sometimes hard to equate, Charlie Cool put in a hugely promising run when a length and a quarter behind the classy Formal Decree on his Dubai bow.

Michael Jarvis’ four-year-old looked a useful prospect when finishing second in the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot but subsequently proved beneath the top level when disappointing in another Group Three and then the St Leger.

This is an obvious drop in class and the Galileo gelding remains an interesting prospect tried on the all-weather for the first time.

Laustra Bad did well to finish third behind stablemate Gaspara at the Cheltenham Festival and is expected to go a couple of places better at Haydock.

Dropping back in class for the Red Square Vodka “Fixed Brush” Novices’ Hurdle Final should suit David Pipe’s four-year-old and his Festival run does look impressive – especially as the second has won since.

Underwriter can bounce back from a disappointing effort on his only start this term to claim the totescoop6 Handicap Chase at Carlisle, while Matt The Thrasher should enjoy the quick ground in the South West Racing Club Handicap Chase at Newton Abbot.
