Ferdy Murphy will gauge whether Leading Man is up to Cheltenham Gold Cup class in the Peter Marsh Chase at Haydock on Saturday.

The seven-year-old created favourable impression at Wetherby on Boxing Day when he powered to an eight-length success in the Rowland Meyrick Chase.
