Michael Jarvis and Brian Meehan will next year both train for Highclere Thoroughbred Racing for the first time.

The two trainers have been added to the syndicates' current list of 10 handlers, which already boasts the Vodafone Derby-winning quintet of Michael Bell, John Gosden, William Haggas, Peter Chapple-Hyam and Sir Michael Stoute.

Harry Herbert, Highclere's managing director, said: "I have known Brian for a long time, since he was assistant to Richard Hannon.

"Michael is very respected and is known as the trainer's trainer.

"We admire what he has done consistently and he has just had another wonderful season."
