Harrington waits on Super Macs

Jessica Harrington will wait to see how Macs Joy works over the next few days before she decides if he can tackle the December Festival Hurdle at Leopardstown in a fortnight’s time.

This year’s Champion Hurdle runner-up gained his revenge on winner Brave Inca by beating him at Punchestown in April but has not raced since.

He was due to start off in the ‘Fighting Fifth’ Hurdle at Newcastle last month but was ruled out after pulling a muscle.

“Macs Joy is grand, but I’ll know next week if he can run at Christmas. I just need to see how he does in the next few days,” said Harrington.
