Tarlac favourite for Ladbroke

Tarlac has been installed as the 6-1 favourite for The Ladbroke (Handicap Hurdle) at Ascot on December 16.

Nicky Henderson’s charge, who won a competitive Ascot handicap in November, heads the market for the £150,000 (€221,000) Listed heat, which has attracted 58 entries.

Ladbrokes spokesman David Williams said: “We’re thrilled with the entries and it’s already shaping up to be a top-quality renewal.

“Tarlac handled the testing conditions admirably last month and has bundles of potential.

“We’re expecting plenty of interest in Nicky Henderson’s charge along with Tipperary All Star, who landed the big gamble at Cheltenham last month.”
