Jeremy Noseda confirmed that Araafa will finish his racing career in the Breeders' Cup Mile at Churchill Downs.

The son of Mull Of Kintyre will sign off from competitive action in the Grade One on November 4 before embarking on a second career as a stallion at Plantation Stud, just outside Newmarket.

Araafa will bid for a third success at the highest level having registered victories in the Irish 2000 Guineas and the St James's Palace Stakes.

The Shalfleet handler told www.jeremynoseda.com: "Araafa will head to the Breeders' Cup Mile on November 4.

"This will be his last racetrack appearance before he retires to stud. He is in fabulous order and his last piece of work pleased me immensely."
