Brian Meehan’s Doctor Brown heads the eight entries for the Saturday’s Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury.

The Dr Fong gelding won the £300,000 (€445,300) St Leger Yearling Sales race at York’s Ebor meeting from Cockney Rebel, who has since franked the form with a fine run in the Champagne Stakes last week.

An unlucky third behind Doctor Brown that day was the Barry Hills-trained Prime Defender, who will attempt to turn the tables in the Group Two event.

Neville Callaghan’s Excellent Art, third behind Dutch Art in the Prix Morny at Deauville last time, will bid for a first Group success.
