Rebel has Champagne cause

Geoff Huffer’s Cockney Rebel is in grand form ahead of his bid for the Sportsman Newspaper Champagne Stakes at York on Saturday.

The Group Two contest has been earmarked by Huffer for the son of Val Royal after a highly encouraging run behind Doctor Brown in the £300,000 (€443,300) St Leger Yearling Stakes on the Knavesmire last month.
