Race For The Stars spearheads a four-strong Aidan O’Brien entry in Sunday’s Desmond Stakes at Leopardstown.

The Fusaichi Pegasus filly has kept some lofty company of late and finished eighth behind Ouija Board in the Vodafone Nassau Stakes at Goodwood on her last outing.

She will be stepping back in trip to a mile if making the starting the line-up and could be joined by stablemates Arabian Prince, Major Commitment and The Wild Swan in the Group Three contest.

John Oxx saddled Caradak to success last year and he could be represented by Noelani, who has yet to race over further than seven furlongs.

Bryan Smart’s Sir Xaar is one of three British entries, the others being Royal Power and Notability – although the latter has been declared to run at Salisbury on Thursday.

Other interesting entries include Jim Bolger’s Heliostatic and the Tom Hogan-trained Common World – a two-time winner at this grade.

Arch Rebel, Duff, Jazz Princess, King Jock, Latino Magic, Lord Admiral and Mon Michel complete the list of possibles at the five-day stage.
