Ouija team keen on Dettori

Connections of Ouija Board are hoping Frankie Dettori will be available to ride the mare in Saturday’s Vodafone Nassau Stakes at Goodwood.

The five-year-old has had a mixture of partners this term with Kieren Fallon, Olivier Peslier and Christophe Soumillon also having ridden her.

Dettori was aboard Ed Dunlop’s charge when she finished second in the Coronation Cup, while Peslier steered her to a memorable success in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot.

“Nothing has been confirmed yet. She’s still on course for the race and Frankie would be high on our list of priorities,” said Peter Stanley, racing manager to owner Lord Derby.

Ouija Board will be bidding for a sixth Group One success in the 10-furlong showpiece.
