Ascot are “cautiously excited and optimistic” ahead of tomorrow’s opening day of the Royal meeting at the redeveloped track.

Ascot are “cautiously excited and optimistic” ahead of tomorrow’s opening day of the Royal meeting at the redeveloped track.

The course has undergone a massive £200m (€290m) overhaul but the changes were not a total success when a limited crowd were invited to the inaugural meeting three weeks ago.
