Warwick unveils Oaks sponsor

Tweenhills Farm and Stud are to sponsor the Listed £28,000 (€41,000) Warwickshire Oaks over 11 furlongs at Warwick next Monday.

The race was last run in 2002 as a conditions race but has now been upgraded to Listed status.

Tweenhills stud manager David Redvers said: “We have sponsored this race in recognition of all the hard work undertaken by the team at Tweenhills this busy breeding season.

“In this our 10th season, we have finally achieved two long held ambitions: Breeding a Royal Ascot two-year-old winner in Flashy Wings, and standing proper stallions that suit the needs of every commercial breeder – an achievement that could not have been made without our experienced team.”

Warwick managing director Huw Williams added: “It seems most appropriate that such a successful and progressive stud should be connected with a very exciting addition to our Flat racing programme.”
