Tipperary meeting abandoned
Tipperary’s race meeting this evening has been abandoned due to waterlogging.
The meeting was originally intended to be a mixed card of flat and hurdle races but excessive rain had already forced officials to abandon the races on the level.
However, further rain has left the track unraceable and the decision to abandon the whole card was taken after an inspection at 8am this morning.
“Following our inspection this morning we found the track to be unfit due to waterlogging,” said Cliff Noone, Irish Turf Club press officer.
