Dixon to take ROA role
Paul Dixon will succeed Stephen Crown as vice-president of the Racehorse Owners’ Association (ROA) on June 29.
Dixon’s appointment, which will last for three years, will be rubber-stamped after the ROA’s annual general meeting and follows the announcement that Crown will take over presidency from Chris Deuters at the same time.
“I am delighted that the ROA Council has chosen me to be their next vice-president,” said Dixon, who has 40 horses in training at Haygarth House in Retford.
“I would like to think that I have seen all sides of ownership and that my experiences have taught me a lot.”
Dixon’s best-known horse is perhaps Milk It Mick, winner of the Dewhurst Stakes in 2003 when trained by Jamie Osbourne and a Grade One winner in America last month.
