Jockey Paddy Brennan has had to explain to Aintree legend Ginger McCain why he will not be partnering Inca Trial in the John Smiths Grand National.

Confusion surrounded Brennan’s mount on Monday when it was originally reported he was to ride Eurotrek for Paul Nicholls only for McCain to claim he had booked the young rider for Inca Trial, ironically only bought out of Nicholls’ stable last week.
