Board has Far East options
Ouija Board could run in either Hong Kong or Singapore following her disappointing show in the Dubai Sheema Classic at Nad Al Sheba.
Trainer Ed Dunlop had intended to give the five-year-old mare a break after the 12-furlong race before bringing her back for an autumn campaign.
However, he is now considering an outing in either the Queen Elizabeth II Cup at Sha Tin next month or May’s Singapore Airlines International Cup as he feels Ouija Board did not have a hard race.
Dunlop told the Racing Post: “I made a statement before Dubai saying she would have a long holiday after the Sheema Classic but that is now not a certainty.
“As a result of what happened, she has not had a hard race and we might well now consider targets in Hong Kong and Singapore for her.
“We haven’t decided about that yet but what we do know is that she will have a European campaign this autumn.”
