Ayr set for racing

This afternoon’s National Hunt meeting at Ayr will take place as scheduled after the track passed a 6.45am inspection.

Clerk of the course Anthea Morshead called an early-morning check due to forecast freezing overnight temperatures but milder weather has arrived at the Scottish venue.

“Temperatures rose to plus three overnight and rain has arrived which has brought all the frost out of the ground,” she said.
