Wincanton passes inspection

This afternoon’s meeting at Wincanton goes ahead after the track passed an early morning inspection.

The fixture, which features the rescheduled HBLB Cotswold Chase, had been at risk of frost but clerk of the course Rebecca Morgan reports the track to be in good condition.

“We dropped to just below freezing, literally half a degree below, so we brought forward the inspection as there was no frost,” she said.

“Racing goes ahead and we have got a great card.”
