This afternoon’s meeting at Southwell goes ahead after a milder-than-expected night.

Temperatures remained above freezing overnight prompting officials to cancel the planned 7.45am inspection.

“We aren’t going to inspect as racing goes ahead,” said a spokesman for the track. “The lowest we got down to was plus three so there are no problems here.”
