Haydock abandoned

This afternoon’s meeting at Haydock has been abandoned due to frost.

Clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright moved forward an 8am inspection after conditions failed to improve sufficiently overnight.

“There was no point in being a stickler for time because the position was hopeless,” explained Tellwright.

“There is a thaw on its way but it has not come soon enough for racing.”
