Moscow Flyer was given a clean bill of health after his third defeat on the bounce Leopardstown at Tuesday.

Jessica Harrington’s two-mile champion was sent off the 8-11 favourite for the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase but he failed to show much sparkle and he finished fourth of five, beaten four and three-quarter lengths by Hi Cloy.

“He’s in grand order and has come out of the race fine,” Mrs Harrington said.

“The vet has scoped him and that was clear. He has also eaten up and we can’t seem to find anything wrong.

“I’ve got no idea where he’ll go next and I don’t know if he’ll run again before the Festival. I will just have to see how he is.”

Moscow Flyer has been eased out to 7-1 by totesport to retain his crown in the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in March.
