Moscow back in business

Moscow Flyer is expected to resume work this week to begin preparations for his next outing at Leopardstown after Christmas.

Jessica Harrington’s dual Champion Chase winner scoped badly before his last intended start in the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown earlier in the month.

Having been defeated on his only run this winter at Navan, the 11-year-old will attempt to get his season back on track in the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase on December 27.

“Moscow was never that sick, but he is looking better now and is on the way back,” Harrington told the Racing Post.

“He will probably work later this week and we will know more when that happens.

“Leopardstown is still the plan and we are hoping he will be able to go there.”

Due to the poor form of her horses, Harrington has not had a runner since December 1, although she has a decent amount of entries this week.

Her other stable star Macs Joy was disappointing at Punchestown last month but is being aimed for back-to-back victories in the www.bewleyshotels.com December Festival Hurdle at the same Leopardstown Christmas meeting.

“Macs Joy is on the way back. We’ll wait and see how he progresses and, hopefully, he will be in action at Leopardstown,” she added.
