More success for Armaturk

Armaturk repeated his success of 12 months ago in the Lingfield Park Handicap Chase.

Christian Williams rode a well-judged race on the Paul Nicholls-trained 3-1 favourite and always had matters in hand before coming home two lengths clear of Bleu Superbe.

Daniel Skelton, son of showjumper Nick and assistant to Nicholls, said: “What a battler to have on your side. That is the first winner we have had for owner Trevor Hemmings.

“The horse does everything you ask of him but there are no hard and fast plans for him at present.”
