Goldrun heads Nassau possibles
Jim Bolger’s international star Alexander Goldrun heads 18 fillies and mares standing their ground in Saturday’s Vodafone Nassau Stakes at Goodwood on Saturday.
Winner of the Hong Kong Cup last winter and the Pretty Polly Stakes last month, the four-year-old could be joined in the race by fellow Irish raider Hazarista from John Oxx’s yard.
Michael Stoute, successful 12 months ago with Favourable Terms, could bid for a repeat having left in Red Bloom at the five-day stage for this Group One contest over a mile and a quarter.
New Morning and Tarfah are other notable names from the older division while Lingfield Oaks Trial winner Cassydora, along with Joint Aspiration, Karen’s Caper and Penkenna Princess are some of those representing the Classic generation.
Aidan O’Brien has Virginia Waters engaged along with Mona Lisa while Gyreka is the only Germany entry.
