McKeown loses appeal against ban

Dean McKeown today lost his appeal to the Jockey Club disciplinary panel against a two-day whip ban.

The rider contested the decision by the Doncaster stewards to suspend him for using his whip with excessive frequency and without allowing his horse time to respond on Ouninpohja in the Sands Venue Stakes on July 14.
