The five-year-old was the only supplementary entry and is among 16 horses who may go for glory in the Group One midsummer showpiece at Newbury on Saturday.

Policy Maker was runner-up to Alkaased in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud on his latest start, a race in which Arc de Triomphe winner Bago, the other French-trained acceptor in the King George, was third.

All the other leading fancies have stood their ground, including Vodafone Oaks winner Eswarah and ante-post favourite Azamour.

Doyen, a brilliant winner 12 months ago, has been left in by Godolphin.
