Divine among 15 in French Oaks

Crack filly Divine Proportions and her similarly unbeaten rival Vadawina stood their ground at today’s latest declaration stage for Sunday’s Prix de Diane.

Crack filly Divine Proportions and her similarly unbeaten rival Vadawina stood their ground at today’s latest declaration stage for Sunday’s Prix de Diane.

Fifteen remain in the Chantilly race, known as the French Oaks, in which Divine Proportions will be bidding for her eighth victory in a row and Vadawina her fourth.

Trainer Pascal Bary has a pacemaker for Divine Proportions in the line-up in the form of Sabia.

Irish trainer Jim Bolger still has his Vodafone Oaks third Pictavia in the race, while Ralph Beckett has the option to run Penkenna Princess following her second in the Irish 1000 Guineas.

Supplementary entries are on Thursday, with final declarations on Friday.
